Not all of us is Elon Musk, we don't have innovative ideas running around our mind all the time so whenever we get creative, we should try to maintain it as much as possible. Here are some tips on how to maintain creativity in a high-pressure environment:

1. Don't be afraid to get away from your computer.

You're likely working with your computer, staring at the screen for at least several hours a day and it certainly affects your creativity. You can argue that you're reading, watching, typing, listening to many different things on your compute, but technically speaking, you've been sitting all day and doing one same thing for hours, do you really think it's not going to affect you at all? The answer is YES, it's already affecting your work and you should get the hell out of your chair and start doing something else.

2. Collaboration will boost you and your collaborators' creativity.

Collaboration gives you a big helping hand, especially when you're stuck and think there's just no way, that's when you need a person to discuss with and more often than not, you'll find a way to find whatever problem there is.

3. Piggybacking on others' ideas.

Not stealing, piggybacking, okay? Start a conversation with a co-worker or if you want it to be even better, do it with a stranger, you'll be amazed by how different or similar a person can be to you; either way, your thoughts will be expanded. You will likely talk about different things, and as each take turns talking, the piggybacking process begins, you'll know it when you start expressing opinions on each other's topic.

4. Ask for feedback or advice.

Sometimes you're too close to a problem to figure out a creative solution all by yourself. Asking for help might seem like a sign of weakness but it's not. Ask for help and advice from friends, peers, and people from your personal network that you trust and respect. Every person has a unique skill set, experience, knowledge and most importantly, their perspective. A fresh outside perspective may be just what you need. Even if you don't use their advice, it may spark some new, creative thinking that will get you where you need to go. It gives you a head start, just that tiny gap you need to get over your creative block.
